With 17 songs and over an hour of music, the monumental body of work encapsulates RAYE’s artistic world. The album unfolds in four “seasons,” with each side of the vinyl representing a different chapter in a sonic journey that moves from darkness to light.

Speaking on the album, RAYE shares: “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

After the release in September of the first single “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!,” which made phenomenal waves online and already counts more than 647 million streams on Spotify alone, we knew we were in for a ride, and fans couldn’t be more excited for what was about to come. Last month, she unveiled the soaring ballad “Nightingale Lane.” and last week, “Click Clack Symphony.,” created with Hans Zimmer and accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Dave Meyers. With these three singles, we could see how the album would unfold. THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. opens up with “Intro: Girl Under The Grey Cloud.,” where RAYE speaks over an instrumental that feels lifted from a French film noir, immediately pulling us into a cinematic and deeply personal masterpiece. Blending pop, R&B, jazz, big band, soul, and orchestral influences, the 17-track album unfolds like a technicolor drama of modern life, balancing moments of darkness with an undercurrent of defiant optimism.

RAYE has had busy months recently, lighting up arenas across Europe and the U.K. on her 51-date “THIS TOUR MAY CONTAIN NEW MUSIC” run, joined by her sisters Amma and Absolutely. And she isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as she is heading to North America for a fully sold-out run, with performances at Radio City Music Hall on April 15 and 16 and the Greek Theatre on May 12 and 13. She will also join Bruno Mars as a special guest on “The Romantic Tour” this summer, appearing on 26 stadium dates across North America.
