Ella Langley extends record run with “Choosin’ Texas”

Ella Langley, a rising force in country music, keeps her momentum going full speed, carving out a record-breaking run as her Platinum-certified single “Choosin’ Texas” spends a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Surpassing huge artists such as Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars, Langley makes quite the achievement. Staying true to her roots, Langley sets a new benchmark for the longest-running Hot 100 chart-topper by a female artist with a song that also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

She is known for her blend of Southern storytelling and modern edge. The Alabama-born singer-songwriter built an early following through independent releases and social media, where her lyrics quickly resonated with fans around the world. Her breakout came as her music began gaining traction on popular streaming platforms like TikTok.

Langley’s catalog features songs such as “Choosin’ Texas,” “Weren’t for the Wind,” “Be Her,” and “You Look Like You Love Me.” “Choosin’ Texas” in particular marked a major turning point, becoming her biggest hit to date and propelling her onto the global stage.

On Spotify, Langley has amassed millions of streams, with “Choosin’ Texas” alone nearing the half-billion stream mark worldwide. Her growing monthly listeners and consistently strong streaming numbers reflect her rise and expanding fan base, positioning her as one of country music’s most exciting new voices, and rightly so.

“Choosin’ Texas” was co-written and produced by Ella Langley with Miranda Lambert, alongside producer Ben West and co-writers Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. To date, the song has surpassed 486 million global streams and currently holds the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, Country Streaming Songs, and Country Digital Song Sales charts.

The track appears on Ella’s upcoming sophomore album Dandelion, alongside her latest single “Loving Life Again,” “Be Her,” and the album’s title track. Set for worldwide release on April 10, 2026, the album is available now for pre-order, including exclusive merchandise bundles, which can be found here.
