The Cab is back! The Las Vegas pop-rock quintet, who re-emerged on the scene in 2025 after a nearly ten year hiatus, is set to release their highly anticipated album, Chasing Crowns, April 24th, and to celebrate, they will hit the road for their Back From The Dead Tour. The 24-date trek across the US marks their first headlining venture in over a decade, kicking off May 22nd in Dallas and making stops in cities coast to coast before wrapping in Boston on June 30th. The tour features support from Paradise Fears, Jady, and CARR on select dates.
Chasing Crowns arrives as the band’s first full-length release in 15 years, following their 2011 sophomore album. The 18-track project, which will be available both digitally and on vinyl, includes recent singles “Locked and Loaded” and “Back From The Dead,” as well as material from their 2025 EP, “Road To Reign: A Prelude.” The album represents a deeply reflective body of work, written over the course of the past decade and shaped by both personal growth and time away from the spotlight. The idea behind the record is that the things in life in which we chase — the crown, the jewels, the success — are irrelevant; rather, what matters most is how you make others feel.
That sentiment is echoed in the album’s visual and thematic inspiration, drawing from the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, which embraces flaws and fractures as part of a story through the use of gold. It’s a fitting metaphor for a band reassembling after years apart, emerging stronger and more unified.
The Cab’s return has been building momentum since late 2025, when they first stepped back into the spotlight with live performances at major events like When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas, as well as a support slot with All Time Low and a string of sold-out shows across Southeast Asia. Their comeback EP, “Road To Reign: A Prelude,” was met with strong praise, signaling that their genre-blending sound, which incorporates pop, rock, and R&B, remains as compelling as ever.
Formed in 2005 by frontman and vocalist Alex DeLeon, The Cab quickly rose through the late-2000s alternative scene with their debut album Whisper War, which featured collaborations with members of Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco. They followed it up with 2011’s Symphony Soldier, a self-funded release which furthered their reputation for emotionally driven and anthemic songwriting. Tracks like “Angel With a Shotgun” continue to have a lasting impact, finding new life online and contributing to the band’s growing global streaming numbers.
