We have a new heavy hitter in the alternative rock scene.
Les Palms is an upcoming band founded by guitarist Sean Fitz of RIAA Gold-Certified OTHERWISE, and includes frontman Seth Laurent and bassist Volkan Tonga of the Las Vegas band theguiltyparty. The trio met through shows with each other’s respective bands and bonded over writing music.
On April 10, the band’s debut single, “Second Chance,” was released everywhere you can normally find your music. “Second Chance” is a relatable track centering around a very common human need for a little grace and forgiveness. The single was produced in Las Vegas, Nevada, under Chris Collier (Korn, Mick Mars, Lynch Mob).
Fitz had this to say about the single:
“‘Second Chance’ was originally written for my solo project, but once I heard Seth’s version of the song, I knew we had something I wanted to run with. Flash forward four months, and Les Palms is more than just an idea.”
Seth Laurent behind the lyrics of “Second Chance:”
“‘Second Chance’ is very personal to me. Not being adequate enough for someone due to a drinking problem is not a fictional tale in my life.”
After listening to the track myself, I have this to say: I love it. It brings me back to the era of music that I attribute to the most musically influential time of my life. “Second Chance” has a real Jimmy Eat World vibe that triggers frisson for me. I am beyond excited to see where these three take this.
The track was made available everywhere from Apple Music to Spotify, and even your local TouchTunes on April 10, 2026. You can find more information on the band at their website.
