bodie kicks off new era with single “OBSESSED”

After a breakout year in 2025, alt-pop artist bodie is stepping into a new chapter with the drop of his latest single, “OBSESSED.” The track serves as the first glimpse of what’s to come following his debut album NO SKIPS, which was released last year via Provident Entertainment/Sony.

Known for blending genres and gaining national attention during his run on “The Voice” Season 22, bodie continues to expand his sound with “OBSESSED,” an alt-rock-leaning track built around a smooth, synth-heavy piano line.

“I’m obsessed with the presence of God,” says bodie. “This song leans into the idea that what the world calls obsession or co-dependency… might actually be the healthiest place you can live when it comes to a relationship with God. I hope this song makes you smile and punch a hole in your drywall.”

On the heels of a big year, bodie is showing no signs of slowing down in 2026. He appeared at the inaugural LOVESICK Christian Music Festival in February and is currently on the road supporting Colton Dixon on the “the love I have for you” tour. bodie has been working on new music while on the road which is expected to arrive in the near future.

His debut album NO SKIPS capped off a steady stream of releases throughout 2025, including tracks like “GOOD OLD DAYS” and “SAY SO,” the latter accompanied by a music video inspired by the chaotic energy of early MTV’s “Jackass” era. Another standout, “whisper and the wind,” originally featured on the “HAPPY TO BE HERE” EP, became a major success, breaking into the Top 10 on both Billboard Airplay and Mediabase Audience charts while accumulating more than 38 million streams worldwide.

bodie’s rise has also been recognized across the industry. He earned two Dove Award nominations, including Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) for “RIP.” He also received a K-LOVE Award nomination for “whisper and the wind,” took home honors at the We Love Christian Music Awards, and won the grand prize in the International Songwriting Competition alongside collaborators Sajan Nauriyal and Wes Strunk. The song stood out among more than 14,000 entries from 112 countries, impressing a panel of judges that included Paul Stanley, Joe Hahn, Elle King, Tom Waits, Kristian Bush, Nancy Wilson, and members of NEEDTOBREATHE.
