Coldhearted releases cinematic single “Carousel”

On April 10, 2026, Coldhearted released “Carousel,” which represents mental entrapment as well as the darkness that consumes you, which prevents you from moving forward with your life. When you think of the word carousel, you get the image of innocence, but when it comes to this song, it has a hint of obscurity to it because the meaning behind the single starts to taint that softness. The clean vocals in the single are desperate, restrained, and feel like they’re longing for an escape. The message is very clear in “Carousel,” and it honestly feels like you are holding your breath for too long and are afraid to finally let the exhale happen, meaning being able to accept the help that you need. When the heavier vocals occur in the single, it represents emotional instability, and you can hear the fear in the vocals because reaching out for help can be terrifying. “Carousel” is intense, but has that emotional pull that will lure the listener in, almost like the narrator wants them to experience what they are going through.

“‘Carousel’ is about trying to reach out for help when you’re at your lowest in life. When you’ve ruined a lot in your life and are looking for that lifeboat/light at the end of the tunnel.”

Speaking about Coldhearted, Christian said, “Little bit about us, the band originally started with Esteban (guitar) and I. We came across Elijah (vocals) mid last year and brought him on board. Our debut single ‘Into The Grey’ came out 11/21/25 and our 2nd single ‘Medicine’ came out January of this year. During both of those singles, we ended up going viral from a few Sleep Token covers and quickly gained millions of views in a course of a month or so, which directly boosted our numbers and following. Charlie (drummer) recently came into the picture, he did drums on ‘Medicine’ and now ‘Carousel.’”

Christian continues, “Musically, we’re like to call ourselves Nu Metalcore, a blend of nu metal and modern metalcore. You can definitely hear it in ‘Carousel’ and some of ‘Medicine.’ Our influences vary from Deftones to Linkin Park, Jutes, sace6, Bad Omens, BMTH, etc. We just signed to Arson Theory for distribution.
