Thomas Rhett’s smooth delivery melts into Marshmello’s production, with the electric energy and emotion equal. As the song continues, the momentum picks up, and the amazing electric head-nodding beats take hold. This burst pushes the song straight into a big, chant-worthy chorus that feels made for a stadium crowd: “I ain’t even had a drink, but I’m backroad tipsy, lose my mind every time you kiss me, I don’t care where we go as long as you’re here with me.” The chemistry between Marchmello and Rhett is shown through a visually bright vibe to life.

This is not the first single that Marshmello has entered into country territory, since he explored this area last year. Entertainment Focus pointed out that the release really shows Marshmello’s ability to move across genres. Most recently, “Better Man Than Me” [with Hudson Westbrock] dropped, and mxdwn highlighted that the blend of modern production and traditional country elements gives a distinct edge. It followed “Holy Water” with Jelly Roll, which drew praise from American Songwriter, Billboard, and others, noting how Jelly Roll’s raw, soulful grit pairs with Marshmello’s atmospheric production to create something that feels both fresh and familiar.

Holy Water” was marked as the second country-leaning collaboration for the genre of blending artists and the first producer who made history in that genre, collaborating with Kane Brown for “Miles On It.” This song took flight as “the first song ever to debut at No. 1 on both the Top Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and Top Country Songs Chart.” This shows yet again that Marshmello is able to change between the genres fans are comfortable seeing him inhabit to something new. Earlier in 2025 releases, including “Worlds Apart” [feat. Feat. AR/CO] and “Save My Love” [with Ellie Goulding & AVAION], and “Slow Motion” [with Jonas Brothers] set the stage for this shift into new territory.

Thomas Rhett has continued to fly through the country genre with colors and with another great collaboration with Marshmello with “Where We Go.” This song follows his current Top 5 single “Ain’t A Bad Life (ft. Jordan Davis)with the recent release of “Georgia On My Mind,” which was timeless on ESPN’s official campaign for the Masters Tournament.
