The Monster Energy Supercross Championship returned to Nashville for Round 13, and with it came one of the tightest title battles of the season finally starting to take shape.

The Supercross Nashville 2026 race saw Hunter Lawrence deliver exactly the kind of performance needed at this stage of the championship, taking control of the 450SMX points standings with a decisive win.

Early on, it didn’t look like it would break that cleanly. Ken Roczen established himself at the front, setting the pace while the field settled in behind him. Lawrence worked his way into position quickly, closing the gap and putting pressure on the lead as the race developed.

The turning point came late in the main event. Roczen lost traction before a key section, opening the door just enough for Lawrence to make the pass. From there, the race shifted completely. Lawrence pulled away and never gave the field a chance to respond.

“I just felt a little bit off today compared to the past few weekends, but nonetheless we still have only four races to go, and anything goes in the Main Event. I was doing pretty good and once Hunter [Lawrence] got by me, I was going to settle for second and that felt like it was a win for me today. I ended up tossing it right before the finish line and luckily, I got the bike started and back going. I would have loved to finish second, but I’ll take a podium. That’s like a win for us. We’ve got a bunch of racing to go.” – Ken Roczen

Behind him, the fight for the podium stayed active. Cooper Webb pushed forward after a difficult start, eventually securing second, while Roczen recovered to hold onto third despite a late mistake.

The bigger impact came in the standings. With the win, Lawrence opened a 10-point lead heading into the final stretch of the season, shifting the pressure onto the rest of the field with only four races remaining.

Further back, Eli Tomac struggled to make an impact despite a strong qualifying performance. A poor start and late crash left him outside contention, costing valuable points at a moment where consistency matters most.

In the 250SMX Eastern Division, Cole Davies continued his dominant run, securing his fourth win of the season. The race behind him was far less controlled, with multiple position changes and late-race incidents reshaping the podium before the finish.

Davies now holds a significant points advantage heading into the final rounds, giving him a clear path if he maintains the same pace.

The Supercross Nashville 2026 round didn’t just deliver another race result. It clarified the championship picture. With only a handful of races left, the margin for error is gone, and every mistake from here carries weight.

The series heads to Cleveland next, marking its first return to the city in decades as the title fight moves into its final phase.
