An evening with PinkPantheress in Phoenix

Shortly after her successful weekend at Coachella, British singer and producer PinkPantheress made the drive from Indio to Phoenix to keep the momentum going.

Upon arrival at the venue, it was clear there was a distinct visual for fans of PinkPantheress. The audience was filled with fans decked out in plaid, dark blues and red, and thoughtful outfits that referenced PinkPantheress’ career.

Opening with “Stateside,” she set the tone immediately. The Arizona Financial Theatre was packed to the balcony, and voices throughout the venue echoed all of the words back to her.

The fans around me knew every lyric, including the deep cuts, which says a lot about the kind of fanbase she’s built. Due to the short runtime of most of her songs, the setlist was packed with songs across her discography. What could’ve felt rushed instead felt electric, like she was giving you everything all at once.

As an ode to her past performances, she carried a small purse on stage for a song or two because that was something she was known for at the start of her live performances. She joked, “If this is your first time seeing me, thank God.”

What stood out most was how intentional the storytelling felt throughout the night. The show had a clear message, and it wasn’t just a collection of songs; it felt like it was building toward a storyline.

At one point in the show, she sat on the stage and got vulnerable with the crowd, stating that she was getting emotional looking into the packed crowd.

It was incredibly inspiring watching someone who was once visibly uncomfortable as a live performer grow into herself. Between the cool set design, the unique choreography, a jam-packed setlist, and that honest, no-filter personality, she delivered everything a fan wants to see from a live show.
