Following a standout debut at Coachella, GRAMMY-nominated superstar SOMBR has announced his North American “YOU ARE THE REASON” arena tour, marking a major moment in his continued global rise.
Spanning 37 dates, the run will begin in Mexico City and travel across the United States and Canada, including a hometown performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tour features a diverse and carefully selected lineup of support acts, including Interpol, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Odell, Dove Cameron, Balu Brigada, King Princess, The Hellp, and Hannah Jadagu.
Tickets were released last week, with artist presales beginning on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general on-sale on Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Demand was immediate across multiple markets, reflecting the scale of anticipation surrounding the tour.
The announcement arrived alongside SOMBR’s new single “Potential,” which is out now with an official music video starring Madeline Argy and Gavin Casalegno. The video presents a cinematic, narrative-driven story, pairing SOMBR’s performance with striking visuals that mirror the emotion and intensity of the track.
The release follows “Homewrecker,” his highest debut to date and another entry on the Billboard Global 200, continuing a run of chart success.
SOMBR’s Coachella debut further accelerated his momentum. Performing to a massive crowd, he drew widespread critical acclaim, with Rolling Stone noting that “the set roared with undeniable rock star energy,” while the Los Angeles Times reported that fans stretched to the outer edges of the field. During the performance, he was joined by Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins for a rendition of “1979,” one of the most talked-about moments of the weekend.
This latest chapter builds on the success of “Back to Friends,” his first Billboard Hot 100 top ten hit, which spent 52 weeks on the chart and reached number one on Spotify’s global charts. His debut album, I Barely Know Her, followed, producing multiple top 20 hits including “Undressed” and “12 to 12,” and establishing a sound that blends indie rock with arena-scale pop.
Born in New York City, Shane Boose is the songwriter and co-producer behind SOMBR’s entire catalogue. Emerging from a bedroom studio on the Lower East Side, he has quickly become one of the most compelling young artists in global music, known for balancing raw vulnerability with an expansive, arena-ready sound.
With a major arena tour ahead, a new single already making an impact, and a rapidly growing global audience, SOMBR continues to define his place as one of the most exciting artists of his generation.
This is a tour you do not want to miss.
