Southpaw FLHC announce “The Standard” out 7/31 cia Spinefarm + share “Rolling Stone” video

SOUTHPAW FLHC announces new album The Standard out July via Spinefarm with a coinciding late-summer tour. Ahead of the album release, the band shares a new video for “Rolling Stone” — PRE-SAVE and WATCH.

Fast-rising hardcore band SOUTHPAW FLHC — Alan King on guitar, Harrison Linder on drums, Marc Laroche on bass, and Daryn LaMontagne on vocals — has been building their name the hard way, show by show. Their sound and message center on self-empowerment, pushing through struggle, and making something lasting out of all of it.

They’ve now announced their new album, The Standard, out July 31 via Spinefarm. Pre-orders are available now.

Alongside the announcement, they’ve dropped a new single and video for “Rolling Stone.”

“Rolling Stone” leans into life on the road and what it actually costs to chase your purpose,” the band says. “Losing people, losing pieces of yourself, and still pushing forward anyway. It’s about that constant climb and trying to build your own path and legacy. The song is also dedicated to Daryn LaMontagne’s grandfather. Rest in power, Pops.”

They add, “All gas, no brakes. Driven by hunger, discipline, and a relentless passion for the love of the game. This is The Standard.”

The Standard tracklist:
Rolling Stone
Run Game
TTG
Nail In The Coffin
The Gavel
Torches
The Path (feat. Eric Ellis)
Play The Fool
The Standard

Southpaw FLHC has been blending hardcore, punk, metal, and hip hop since their self-titled EP in 2020, and they haven’t really slowed down since. With a steady run of singles and videos, a strong DIY approach, and constant touring, they’ve built momentum the old school way.

They’ve shared stages with bands like With Blood Comes Cleansing, Tracheotomy, Bodysnatcher, Surfaced, and Hoods, bringing heavy, chaotic energy to every city. In 2025, they hit the road on a headline run with Cutthroats, Kind Eyes, Unvow, and Resistor, and even packed out the first show at Jacksonville’s HARDLOVE venue.

They’re clearly not easing up anytime soon, and with Spinefarm behind them, this next chapter feels like it’s only going to push them further.
