April 24, 2026 – Australian singer-songwriter Ruel returns with a new song, “Hate Myself,” available now via Giant Music alongside a music video. He has also just announced a headline U.K. and EU Tour in October.

Since making his debut in 2017, Ruel has amassed over 3 billion global streams, headlined several sold-out world tours, and collected multiple Platinum and Gold singles. He has won awards from the RIAA, ARIA, and MTV, as well as taken home First Prize at the 2025 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition. 

Ahead of the next chapter in his double-album project, following Kicking My Feet (Part One), the forthcoming Part Two arrives as Kicking My Feet & Screaming. This new track takes a glimpse into a new side of Ruel whilst still tapping into the vulnerability that he’s known for. Co-written by Kenny Beats (Dominic Fike, Vince Staples, Remi Wolf) and Jackson Morgan (Justin Bieber, Macklemore), the song explores what it feels like to be stuck in a toxic, self-destructive relationship, knowing it’s hurting you but not being able to walk away.

Ruel recalls how the track came about: “I wrote this one on the day I met Kenny and Jackson, and when you meet someone for the first time, you sort of try to focus on getting to know one another. After 5-6 hours in the studio, we had basically nothing, but then Kenny threw a bit of a Hail Mary, the three of us mixed ideas around, and next thing we knew, we had the whole song in about 30 mins. Since then, every session I’ve had with Kenny has flowed so well, and the two of us wrote a good chunk of the album Part 2 together!”

Ruel just wrapped the second leg of his 2026 North American “Kicking My Feet Tour,” where he was supported by Arthur Hill, Chelsea Jordan, and Mercer Henderson. He just announced that he will be hitting the road again this fall, from October 1, 2026, through October 30, 2026, with support from Sadie Jean. General on sale begins Thursday, April 30, at 10 a.m. local time.
