Members of the creative and music community echoed that sentiment. Bilinda Butcher of My Bloody Valentine described the experience as “amazing” and “emotional throughout,” while comedian Roisin Conaty praised its “hypnotic” and “poetic” quality.

Director Mark Grimmer explained that the goal was to make audiences feel “inside the story,” combining animation, design, and sound to create a deeply personal experience. The show’s spatial audio, developed by award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry, further enhances the sensation of being present at a live performance.

Executive producer David Sabel noted the overwhelming response to the project, pointing to Bowie’s cross-generational influence: “His curiosity and creativity meant his impact has been felt across the entire cultural world.”
