“The Cheeky Freaky Tour” rolled into Albuquerque with a lineup that will make you run to your streaming services, asking yourself how you have missed these artists before – from transgender rap to ’80s Queens, New York, scene, and a rap legend who is still bringing it to the stage every day. Lords of Acid has really come to life in the last few years with fresh vocalist Carla Harvey.
Mz Neon, a rapper and songwriter coming out of the Los Angeles rap scene, hit the stage as if it were on fire. She brought her unique style and singing to life as the crowd moved closer to the stage. Mz Neon is a transgender woman who has been performing since she was a teenager, expressing their sexuality and defying misconceptions of the gender binary spectrum. Wearing many hats as a singer, songwriter, producer, actress, rapper, DJ, and drag queen, you can deny that their energy is focused on creating and entertaining – a great fit to tour with legendary Lords of Acid.

Tony & the Kiki from Queens, New York, have been performing for a long time, and are finally on their first U.S. tour. They are the accents of glam rock ‘n’ roll with dance moves, vocals, and musical talent that take you back to the ’70s and ’80s glam era. From their first note, you find yourself bopping your head and wanting to dance. From classic glam rock songs to original songs, they had the crowd excited. Tony lights up the stage to bring you back to rock and roll that brought people to the streets of Queens to party like a rock star. In high-heeled boots, bare chest, and tight black leather, you just want to join him on stage and dance.

Princess Superstar is an American rapper, singer, and DJ from New York City. She laid the groundwork for female rappers in the early days and has not let up. Since 1993, she has released seven albums, with two songs charting on the U.K. song charts: “Bad Babysitter” reached No. 11 on the singles chart and “Perfect (Exceeder)” went to No. 3. She describes her style as a flip-flop mix of hip hop, electroclash, and electronics. At 55 years old, she doesn’t let that stop her. She had as much or more energy on stage as all the previous musicians on that night. She has had the honor of working with Moby, Prodigy, Arthur Baker, Prince Paul, and Grandmaster Flash. She has also been on the Inside Amy Schumer show and appeared on many others.
She had an outfit for every song, changing into them on stage, from yellow jackets to nightgowns and a white robe. At one point, she threw mini donuts into the crowd and had a money gun to shower the crowd with money. She was always on the move with each song. It was fun, and she just made you want to dance. I instantly added her to my streaming service.

Lords of Acid from Belgium formed in 1988 and grew out of the ’90s, making their presence known for their provocative lyrics and blending a mix of techno, acid house, and industrial rock. They have released songs like “Scrood Bi U,” “Drink my Honey,” ”Spank My Booty,” and “Rubber Doll.” They have released eight albums, and all of them have had successful hits, which they perform at every show. They have had numerous vocalists from the beginning, singers like Ruth McArdle (died 2024), Mea Fisher, and Marieke Bresseleers, all before Carla Harvey, who joined them in 2025 after departing her long-time band Butcher Babies, and she started a band called Violent Hour.
Their latest album, Acid Reign, was released during the “Cheeky Freaky Tour.” This is the eighth in their collection, which follows their last release eight years ago
As the band entered the dark stage, they were all silhouetted. They started to perform, and then the lights came up. Carla Harvey entered the stage. They kicked off the show with “Scrood Bi U,” “Do What You Wanna Do,” followed by “Dopamine War.” They performed their signature songs, “Spank My Booty,” where they invited some of the audience on stage, and “Rubber Doll,” where they tossed rubber dolls into the crowd.
