Mimi Barks releases “Jericho,” second song from her next album

Mimi Barks, who has been taking the U.S. by storm since she hit the mainland with the announcement of her trip to the U.S., has been releasing singles leading up to her latest album at a regular interval, and now she has released her second song from the record. The song Jericho is the second song released from the Dreamstate of Fear album, slated for release on July 24.

This song and the album are taking a dark side, pushing her self-defined “DOOM TRAP” sound even further; she is always mixing alternative metal, industrial weight, and modern rock with heavy guitars and dynamic vocals, bringing her distinctive style to each and every song she produces.

“Jericho” video is on point, shot in an old, rundown graffiti-clad warehouse and an old apartment building in Paris. Barks takes us into a story much easier described by her in this statement: “What looks like collapse is really released, an undoing of everything that was never truly mine. There’s no real enemy unless you choose to become one to yourself. The shift happens when the self remembers itself, when the energy turns inward and transforms. The old world dissolves, making space for something unknown. That’s where freedom begins. What will you choose? Heaven or Hell?”

Mimi Barks is a German-born musician exploring the extremes of punk, hip hop, techno, and metal until her identity as an artist began to form. Moving to London, she has met with the right people and environment to go further and started producing music that was taking hold in London and Europe. Then, at the beginning of 2026, she crossed the ocean to head out on a U.S. and Europe tour with Little Miss Nasty on their “Dead Dollz 2026 Tour.”
