Myles Smith has been working on new tracks and is set to release his debut album My Mess, My Heart, My Life on June 19! via Sony Music UK/RCA Records. Pre-save it HERE.

He’s kicking things off with a brand-new single and took the time to say a few words about it:
“Hold Me In The Dark came from a really honest place, “From feeling stuck in my own thoughts and not knowing how to get out of it. Strangely, it takes me back to my first pair of headphones as a kid. I used to put them on to block out the shouting and the chaos at home, and in a weird way, they became a kind of escape for me. I didn’t have many friends growing up because we moved around a lot, so music became one of the first places I ever felt safe. It’s that push and pull between trying to run from things and realizing that sometimes you just need something or someone there with you. It’s not about fixing everything; it’s about not being alone in it.”

It gives the impression that it’s about to unveil a deeply personal album that navigates between its present and its past — and that’s sure to resonate with many people. And he says so himself, “This album is the most honest thing I’ve ever made”. He adds, “The title really says it all—it’s about the mess, the heart, and the life that sits around it.

Myles Smith will also be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live UK on Saturday, May 9.

That promises to be a pretty incredible album — after all, we know he’s an outstanding composer who has already collaborated with major artists like Niall Horan and will be the supporting act of Ed Sheeran for his upcoming “Loop Tour“.
