Oasis is set to return to the spotlight with a new documentary event that will arrive in cinemas before heading to streaming.
The film will debut on September 11 in a limited run across selected IMAX and international theaters, before landing on Disney+ by the end of the year.
The project, currently untitled, was developed from an idea by Steven Knight, best known for “Peaky Blinders,” with Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directing.
At the center of the film is the “Oasis Live ’25” tour, marking the band’s reunion and the long-awaited return of Liam and Noel Gallagher after years apart. The documentary will include behind-the-scenes footage, rehearsals, and live performances, along with the first joint interviews between the Gallagher brothers in more than twenty-five years.
According to production notes, the film is not only focused on the scale of the sold-out world tour but also on the relationship between the band and its audience, and how Oasis’ music has connected with different generations over time.
Steven Knight said he aimed to place equal focus on the band’s story and the fans, highlighting music as a unifying force during a period marked by division and conflict.
The project is produced by Magna Studios and presented by Disney+ in association with Sony Music Vision and Sony Music Entertainment UK. Producers include Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley, with Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers, and cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos also part of the team.
Further details on international release plans are expected in the coming months.
