Ultrabomb release new album The Bridges That We Burn

Punk rock power trio Ultrabomb has released their new full-length album, The Bridges That We Burn, via DC-Jam Records / Virgin Music Group.

The band brings together a seriously stacked lineup: Greg Norton of Hüsker Dü on bass and backing vocals, Derek O’Brien of Social Distortion, Agent Orange, and Adolescents on drums and backing vocals, and Ryan Smith of Soul Asylum on lead vocals and guitar.

The Bridges That We Burn leans into sharp hooks, driving rhythms, and the kind of melodic punk energy that feels urgent without sounding like it is trying too hard. The record is built around frustration, noise, and the exhausting state of modern conversation, but it does not just shout into the void. It cuts through it with melody, force, and a surprising amount of clarity.

The single “no cap” captures that balance well. Built on soaring guitars and a chorus that lands with purpose, the track channels burnout from the endless stream of opinions, distractions, and surface-level outrage into something more direct. Norton summed up the song’s perspective plainly, saying, “There is a lot of noise to keep us distracted. Everyone has an opinion, informed and not informed. I’m at capacity with all the bs, let’s start real conversations.”
