X Games Sacramento 2026 announces world class athlete roster

X Games has announced the invited athlete roster for MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026, bringing nearly 100 of the world’s top Skateboard, BMX, and Moto X athletes to Cal Expo from June 26 through 28.

The Sacramento event will serve as the debut summer stop of the new MoonPay X Games League, marking a major shift for one of action sports’ most recognizable brands. Across three days of competition, fans can expect multi-medal pursuits, record chases, generational rivalries, and the first major look at X Games’ new team-based era. Casual little weekend, assuming your idea of casual includes teenagers rewriting history while adults on bikes defy physics for a living.

MoonPay X Games Sacramento 2026 will bring together elite competition and a full-scale festival experience. Alongside the action sports lineup, the weekend will feature live performances from music headliners Kaskade, Mustard, and Subtronics, making the Sacramento debut one of the most culture-driven stops on the summer calendar.

X Games CEO Jeremy Bloom called the Sacramento event a defining moment for the organization as it launches the X Games League and reimagines what action sports can become. Bloom pointed to the nearly 100 invited athletes, new opportunities for multi-medal performances, and a season-long format designed to elevate the stakes for both athletes and fans.

The roster includes several of the most decorated athletes in X Games history, along with a younger wave already changing the record books. Nyjah Huston enters Sacramento as the most decorated Skateboard Street athlete, with 15 gold medals and 26 total medals. Garrett Reynolds, the most decorated BMX athlete in X Games history, brings 16 gold medals and 24 total medals into another major competition weekend.

Australia’s Arisa Trew arrives as one of the biggest names to watch. At just 16, Trew already holds eight gold medals, the most ever by a woman in summer X Games competition. Fellow 16-year-old Chloe Covell also enters Sacramento with serious momentum after medaling in eight of nine appearances and winning gold in her last five. The children are apparently not waiting patiently for the future. They have taken the future, added grip tape, and started winning medals with it.

Brazilian skateboarder Gui Khury will also be in the spotlight. An X Games competitor since age 10, Khury has already collected nine gold medals, the most ever by a teenager, and 15 total medals overall. His presence adds another layer to Sacramento’s next-generation storyline, especially as young skaters continue pushing vert progression at a pace that feels vaguely insulting to gravity.

The BMX field brings its own historic potential. Ryan Williams enters as one of the sport’s most versatile riders, while Logan Martin and Daniel Sandoval are each set to compete in four disciplines. Both will have a chance to chase four gold medals in a single X Games, a feat that has never been accomplished.

In Moto X, Vicki Golden will continue adding to her trailblazing legacy. The three-time X Games gold medalist was the first woman to compete in Moto X, the first woman to medal in Best Whip against men, and will be the only woman competing in Moto X in Sacramento.

The Sacramento event also brings rare historical stakes. Winning three gold medals in a single X Games has only happened three times, and not since Travis Pastrana at X Games Los Angeles 2006. With multiple athletes competing across several disciplines, Sacramento could become a major record-chasing weekend.

The debut of XGL adds another competitive layer. Clubs from Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo, and Tokyo will battle for points toward the summer championship, giving the event a larger season long structure beyond individual medal events. For the first time in X Games history, athletes will compete inside a formal team-based league format designed to create deeper storylines across live events, broadcasts, streaming, and digital platforms.

Nyjah Huston said the new league format raises both the pressure and opportunity for athletes, adding that the current level of competition is “insane” and that competitors will need their best runs to reach the podium.
