wave to earth unveils “heaven and hell”

On May 15, 2026, South Korean indie rock band wave to earth returned with a single called “heaven and hell.” Listen/share the song HERE, and watch/share the official video HERE.

Wave to Earth is a trio consisting of Daniel KimJohn Cha, and Dong Q. They are known for their indie rock music that mixes in soft vocals, jazzy drumming, and mellow guitar riffs, and these are usually paired with emotional lyrics that quickly capture the attention of the listeners. The band debuted in 2019 and, since then, has captured the love of fans all over the world and has had many sold-out shows throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

When asked about the song, Cha mentioned, “Each person has their own version of heaven and hell… But the world cannot be divided in a binary form. Rather than trying to find a heaven and hell… what’s most important is trying to find out how we should live in our current life.”

The band went to Mexico to film the music video for “heaven and hell.” Mexico is a very special place for the band. Argentinian filmmaker Maureen Hufnagel directed the music video, which tells the story of two brothers who grew up in a small Mexican town, showcasing love and bravery. “We went to Mexico for the first time on our last tour, in 2025,” says Kim. “When we arrived there, we felt a special sort of feeling. Hard to describe. When we finished making ‘heaven and hell,’ we felt an energy in the air that reminded us of the scenery of Mexico, the air we felt in Mexico…”

Their latest single “heaven and hell” is the first look at new music since they released play with earth! 0.03 (2024). The EP debuted at No. 5 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global Chart and found the band on a fully sold-out tour across North America.
