Alt-rock artist bodie is stepping into a new chapter with the release of his latest single, “ALMOST FAMOUS,” a reflective, guitar-driven track that arrives alongside a new music video and signals the start of what looks to be a busy next season for the singer-songwriter.

The new release follows a breakout stretch for bodie, whose 2025 debut album NO SKIPS helped push the rising artist into a wider spotlight. After recently wrapping a national tour with Colton Dixon, bodie is now shifting focus toward new music, and “ALMOST FAMOUS” feels like a deeply personal place to begin.

“Lost the plot along the way/learned my heart’s a liar/ I’m sorry that I made you wait/running after my desire,” he sings, unpacking the tension between ambition, purpose, and the cost of chasing both.

“I spent a decade or more of my life doing everything I could to push my music, and many times it felt like I was going against what was meant for my life,” bodie says speaking to the inspiration behind “ALMOST FAMOUS.” “I wrote ‘ALMOST FAMOUS’ with a conviction in my heart: as much as I’d love for my music to reach and impact millions of people, if it’s not what God wants for my life, I don’t want it. I’ve spent too much of my life chasing things that perhaps weren’t meant for me, and I hope this song encourages others to desire only what’s meant for them…not driven by comparison or envy.”

That honesty has become a defining trait of bodie’s music and has helped him carve out a lane that blends alt-rock energy with vulnerable songwriting. Over the last year, he has racked up over 38 million streams globally, and has earned praise from Forbes, which described his music as “a punchy, genre-bending sound.”

NO SKIPS introduced listeners to tracks like “GOOD OLD DAYS” and “SAY SO,” the latter arriving with a chaotic, stunt-heavy video inspired by the early-2000s “Jackass” era. Before that, bodie’s single “whisper and the wind” became a breakthrough moment, climbing into the Top 10 on both the Billboard Airplay and Mediabase Audience charts.

The accolades have followed closely behind. Earlier this year, bodie earned two Dove Award nominations, including Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) for “RIP.” He also picked up recognition at the K-LOVE Fan Awards for “whisper and the wind,” won at the We Love Christian Music Awards, and took home the grand prize at the International Songwriting Competition alongside collaborators Sajan Nauriyal and Wes Strunk. Their song “whisper and the wind” stood out among more than 14,000 entries from 112 countries, impressing a judging panel that included artists like Paul Stanley of KISS, Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn, Elle King, Tom Waits, Nancy Wilson of Heart, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, and members of NEEDTOBREATHE.
