An event organized by Arte concerts, and la Blogothèque.

The previous edition featured November Ultra, a French artist known for her delicate songs that draw us into her life like a personal diary.
But for this 59th evening, Tamino takes center stage. An artist well known to Arte, as they have filmed his concert at the Olympia, as well as during an Arte event, Les Concerts Volants.
For those who are not yet familiar with Tamino, he is a Belgian artist of Egyptian origin, often compared to Jeff Buckley. He offers a deeply emotional alternative folk sound while still retaining influences close to his origins.
After two powerful first albums, both in terms of arrangements and melodies, and carried by an incredible voice, he released his third album in 2025, Every Dawn’s a Mountain.
It is as part of this evening, organized by Arte Concert and La Blogothèque, that he comes to present this new project in a truly exceptional setting: a Parisian apartment, where a very small number of guests were invited through a lottery system.

We also find, in the opening act, violinist Cécile Lacharme, who performs two of her pieces before making way for Tamino. The first is titled “Orage“ and it is magnificent: full of poetry, imagery, and emotion. Her second piece is called “Rivage.“
Then it is Tamino’s turn to take the stage. He stands in the center of the room, accompanied by his cellist Frederik. A completely acoustic, intimate performance.
He settles in and greets the audience with a cheerful “hello” and a big smile. His set naturally features his new album, but here in a very different way. Tamino sings his songs with even more intensity.

The setlist is rich. He begins with the title track of his latest album, Every Dawn’s a Mountain. He goes on with songs such as “Elegy,” “Raven,” and “Willow,” then shifts gears by performing a cover: “A Little Lost” by Arthur Russell, a song he is particularly fond of.
Tamino’s voice is absolutely mind-blowing: he has incredible control and, above all, a real vocal range that allows him to move between registers and deliver powerful high notes. He remains simple and humble; his performance is truly like fine lace. I have never seen an audience so attentive and moved. His cellist, Frederik, is also a genius musician: you can feel that he experiences and lives every note of each piece.
The show ends with a piano section. Tamino weaves through the crowd, sits down at a grand black piano, and plays the first chords of “You Don’t Own Me.” He then offers a brand-new version of “Indigo Night” before finishing beautifully with the stunning “Habibi.”
Arte and La Blogothèque are incredibly skilled at capturing moments like this. They let the artist practice their craft in the most honest and beautiful way possible. They also allow fans to experience something completely unique, unlike anything else. A suspended moment that remains engraved between the artist and the audience. I was truly impressed by this moment. Thank you to the entire Arte team for the invitation!
I’ll leave you with the incredible photos by Cha Gonzalez.
