Sam Barber releases new live album

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Sam Barber shared a brand new live album, Live From 2025, on February 6 via Atlantic Records. The robust 21-track offers a vivid look into the acclaimed troubadour’s sold-out North American headline run, canvassing the continent last year, including stops at the historic Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, California, and a two-night stand at Webster Hall in New York City. Highlights from his gold-certified, full-length debut Restless Mind album include the title track, a fiery performance of his double-platinum breakout “Straight and Narrow,” and platinum-certified single “Indigo” with Avery Anna at the Red West Festival. For the finale, his cover of Dani and Lizzy’s “Dancing in the Sky” provides an epically catchy and cathartic touch to the end, illuminating his presence and leaving a lasting impression in the process.

Bringing his music directly to the people, launching “The American Route,” an epic U.S. headline tour that carried him through this month. Along the way, he made his much-anticipated return to Indio, California’s Stagecoach Music Festival this spring. In addition to his nonstop live tour schedule, fans can get exclusive updates via sambarberfiles.com.

With over 2 billion global streams, Sam Barber claimed his space in the country spotlight with his breakout success of his RIAA gold-certified 2024 debut album, Restless Mind, a 28-song album highlighted by smash singles as the double-platinum-certified “Straight and Narrow,” “Better Year” – the emotionally charged anthem featured on Paramount’s Yellowstone TV show – and the RIAA Platinum-certified “Indigo (ftr. Avery Anna),” the latter proving a worldwide sensation with over 500 million global streams and earning Platinum certification in Australia and reaching the top 40 on Billboard’s overall Hot 100.

On top of all that, last year he saw his “Tear Us Apart” among the standout tracks featured on Lockeland Springs/Atlantic Records’ RIAA Gold-certified, Grammy Award-nominated blockbuster soundtrack, Twister: The Album. Barber continued his unstoppable momentum with his acclaimed new EP, “Music for the Soul,” now on Lockeland Springs/Atlantic Records. Co-written by Barber and produced by Grammy Award-winner Ryan Hewitt (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan), Joe Becker at studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bozeman, Montana. The EP sees Barber chronicling how he got where he is and where he is headed next on such eloquent, empathetic new songs as “Same Sad Shit,” a fame-wrestling title track, “Music for the Soul,” and deeply moving “Home Tonight,” all available alongside the official live performance videos streaming on YouTube.

Originally teased through his Sam Barber Files, a digital space offering an unfiltered look into his world with unreleased content, personal visuals, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into his creative process, “Home Tonight” was immediately met with praise from outlets like Country Swag, hailing the track as thought-provoking about love and loss while also being introspective, emotional, and honest. “Music for the Soul” includes the soul-baring anthem, “Man of the Year,” available everywhere alongside the official live performance video. With a cascade of shadowy textures and darkly hypnotic guitar tones, “Man of the Year” received applause from publications such as Billboard, naming it one of “6 Must-Hear New Country Songs” for its gritty track and Barber finding himself pondering existential anguish seen threaded throughout world events and emotionally embedded in people around him. “Better Than The Floor “extends on the project as a very special collaboration with Grammy Award-nominated artist and producer Chance Peña. Having equally long admired each other’s work, the artists forged a powerful new musical alliance.

“An absolute stunner for the pair. It’s hard to imagine a better pairing of both voices and sonic styles than Barber and Peña, and it’s showcased brilliantly here. Penned by the two, the track takes an interesting look at what can only be described as a codependent relationship between two people who are clearly damaged in their own ways.” – Whiskey Riff

Truly enthralling live performer, Barber marked his meteoric rise by spending much of his time on the road, with appearances at the massive “Restless Mind World Tour 2025” across North America, the U.K., Europe, and Australia. The 22-year-old Southeast Missouri-born singer-songwriter further celebrated his ascent with TV performances on NBC’s The Kelly Clarkson Show and CBS’s Saturday Morning’s Saturday Sessions.
