Levels new album out now + watch video for double single “Fume” + “Death Dance”

This Will Make You Feel Again (album cover) by LEVELS

Central Arkansas quartet LEVELS – made up of Kolby Carignan on vocals, Jager Felice on guitar, Jacob Hubbard on bass, and Dalton Kennerly on drums – aim to provoke a physical and emotional response with a fluid and future-facing hybrid of metal, pop, drum ‘n’ bass, and dance music. Delivering pit-ready riffs with hooks tailor-made for arenas and beat drops that could rouse any after-hours club to life. On April 10, they released their newest album, This Will Make You Feel Again, via SharpTone Records. Prior to the release, the band shared the video for their double single “Fume” and “Death Dance.” Regarding “Fume,” the band says the song explores the emotional weight of a relationship pushed to its limit by burnout, miscommunication, and constant internal struggle. As a plea for connection, LEVELS focuses on an honest reflection on trying to break through emotional distance and offer refuge before everything is burned.

The band collectively says “Death Dance,” focuses on an obsession when one person becomes home, poison, and salvation all at once, with that feeling where leaving seems impossible, but staying slowly kills you. “Death Dance” feeds from the space between survival and surrender. Retaining a singular focus with their new album, the band reflects the main priority of making the listener feel something. Carignan tells listeners that coming to their show or listening to their music should leave you feeling fully nourished.

The new album, overall, is more than an album or a statement; it’s more of a call to action. As creativity becomes caught in algorithms and AI, the album subverts the standard and unapologetically delivers emotionally charged experiences caught in reality and rhythm. It delivers pulverizing riffs, electric energy, and hypnotic melodies, exploring elements of the modern human struggle such as maintaining a sense of identity, reconciling religion with reality, and adapting in the wake of the unimaginable. The album reaches out to offer listeners an escape and to feel something.

“We don’t create songs; we create experiences.”
-Kolby Carignan (LEVELS vocalist)

Fume / Death Dance (Official Music Video) by LEVELS

LEVELS has effectively encoded vampiric sensuality and slick grooves within the metallic framework of the 22nd-century hard rock anthems. They make you move in one way or another, defying categorization since their 2016 formation. New Noise awarded their “PULSE” EP (2024) a perfect 5/5, marveling at the band’s ability to seamlessly transition between different genres and change up their sound at any moment.

Throughout 2025, the collective carefully assembled the album with producer Jonathan Dolese at the helm. They recorded the EP at KonKrete Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and they bottled and distilled a wide swath of inspirations and emotions into ten airtight tracks.

With open-hearted honesty, LEVELS will undoubtedly make you feel something.

“I hope you feel the way I did back in high school after a friend showed me a new song in the car. Maybe you’ll want to share it with everyone. There would be no better reaction.”
-Jacob Hubbard (LEVELS bassist)
