Last weekend, West Hollywood kicked off Pride Month with a bang at the Outloud Festival. The streets were adorned in rainbow colors as the whole city was in celebration mode. Music was pumping from every club and bar along the way, glitter shone on people’s faces, and the atmosphere was filled with a sense of belonging and having fun.
Outloud festival greeted fans with performances from artists like Ava Max, Jade, Melanie C, Blue Man Group, Baby Tate, and many more. Two stages of the festival, positioned right in the middle of West Hollywood, welcomed thousands of people, delivering music of different genres yet equally energizing. Guests were able to enjoy food from various food trucks without having to leave the venue.
Saturday night’s lineup was the ultimate pop icon dream with FLO, Ashlee Simpson, and The Pussycat Dolls taking the stage following each other. Ashlee’s set was a fun thirty-minute party on stage, which showcased her diverse vocal range. During multiple points of the performance, she stopped to thank the fans who got her where she is and even recognized some especially devoted fans in the crowd.
The Pussycat Dolls made a stunning comeback to a crowd of anticipating fans with their hit songs like “Don’t Cha,” “When I Grow Up,” and “Buttons.” Despite a long break from the stage, The Dolls showcased synced choreography, great energy, and impressive in-air splits. It was obvious they were having fun along with the fans. They also took the time to thank the fans and reminded people how important it is to stay true to who they are and not be afraid to be fully authentic.
Despite cancelling their upcoming North American tour, The Pussycat Dolls delivered a memorable performance, their first full show in 17 years. And surely, this won’t be the last we’ll see of them, because if this show was any indication, then it shows that The Dolls still have a lot to give and still know how to get the crowd going.
