This October, The Strokes will make a monumental homecoming to New York City with a special performance at the historic Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, slated for October 2, 2026, with support from Beach House, TV On The Radio, and FCUKERS. Tickets hit the market today, Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. EST through artist registration pre-sale, with general on-sale opening to the public tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m. EST. In typical Flushing Meadows Corona Park fashion, Queens residents residing in area codes 11368, 11355, 11375, and 11367 are eligible for a 20% discount on GA tickets beginning Thursday through August 30, or until tickets officially disappear, making the evening feel even more rooted in the neighborhood that surrounds it.
The exclusive Queens performance will coincide with the band’s expansive global tour, kicking off this month and stretching into November, with a special appearance at Primavera Sound in São Paulo on December 5. More importantly, it makes a significant chapter in the band’s story as their first headline performance in the city that never sleeps since 2023. In previous years, Flushing Meadows Corona Park has largely belonged to The Governors Ball, but in 2026, the open-air grounds broaden their horizons, welcoming a select handful of standalone concerts, with The Strokes earning one of those coveted dates. Fans can register for pre-sale access now at nyc.thestrokes.com to secure tickets early, but don’t linger too long; hometown heroes have a way of filling fields quickly. It’s safe to say audiences have been waiting impatiently for the band’s return, and this show feels destined to become one of those New York nights people revisit for years afterward.
The performance arrives alongside the release of the band’s seventh studio album, Reality Awaits, due July 24 via Cult Records/RCA Records. Pre-orders are available now and can be found HERE. The band has already begun pulling back the curtain on the new era with the singles “Falling Out Of Love” and “Going Shopping,” alongside a premiere performance of the former on The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert.
The record was conceived in Costa Rica alongside renowned producers Rick Rubin and completed across various corners of the globe as the band moved from stage to stage over the last few years. For listeners, the announcement feels like the long-awaited return of a group whose influence has quietly echoed through the scene for decades, with their last full-length release dating back to 2020’s acclaimed The New Abnormal. During the six years between records, the band remained in constant motion, crossing continents and festival grounds, but this upcoming run feels different. It carries the weight of return, of familiarity, of songs that have soundtracked lives finally finding their way back home beneath the New York skyline.
