Madonna unveils CONFESSIONS II – The Film

LOS ANGELES, June 8, 2026Madonna has released “CONFESSIONS II – The Film,” a visually ambitious short film accompanying her forthcoming album Confessions II. The project is now available on YouTube after receiving an enthusiastic reception and multiple standing ovations during its premiere at the 25th Tribeca Film Festival.

The film will include the first six songs from Madonna’s upcoming album Confessions II, including “I Feel So Free,” “Good for the Soul,” “One Step Away,” “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter, “Danceteria,” and “Read My Lips” with Feid. Produced by DIVISION and powered by Dolce&Gabbana, Maverick, and Warner Records, with music direction by Stuart Price, the film is an immersive cinematic experience.

“CONFESSIONS II – The Film” is presented as a film experience – not a series of music videos. It is over ten minutes long. The film is a dreamlike narrative of six connected chapters, dealing with freedom, desire, nightlife, connection, and the transformative power of dance.

Madonna takes you on a surreal ride through a night of chaos, from intimate spaces to packed dance floors. Throughout the film, she is chased and adored by a group of camera-wielding women, making for a visual investigation into celebrity, privacy, fandom, and self-expression. Madonna moves from bedrooms to club bathrooms, cars, arenas, and natural landscapes before returning to the dance floor, the symbolic centre of Madonna’s artistic universe.

One especially memorable sequence pays homage to Danceteria, the legendary New York club that helped launch Madonna’s career in the early ’80s. The scene is set with an incredible cast of cultural icons and collaborators, including Kate Moss, Arca, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cole Palmer, Debi Mazar, Honey Dijon, João Pedro, Richard E. Grant, and Shygirl. They bring back the glamour and creative energy of New York’s underground club scene, reimagined through a contemporary lens.

Kate Moss, whose appearance serves as a centerpiece of the sequence, embodies the timeless appeal and rebellious spirit that helped define both fashion and nightlife culture. The result is a vibrant, dreamlike celebration of artistic freedom and collective expression.

The film concludes with an appearance from Madonna’s daughter, Lola Leon, linking the project to a new generation of artists. Leon recently released her latest single, “T Shirt,” further reinforcing the themes of legacy and creative evolution present throughout the film.

Fashion also plays a major role in the production. Dolce & Gabbana, continuing its long-standing partnership with Madonna, provided wardrobe for the entire cast and more than 250 extras featured throughout the film.

The release comes as Madonna is enjoying a strong commercial rebound. Her latest single, “I Feel So Free,” recently topped Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart, while “Bring Your Love,” with Sabrina Carpenter, topped the U.K. Club Chart. Fans also had a second taste of the album when “Love Sensation” was released after Madonna’s surprise performance in Times Square, New York City.

Confessions II is scheduled for release on July 3 via Warner Records. The album serves as the long-awaited companion piece to Madonna’s 2005 dance-pop classic Confessions on a Dance Floor, promising a return to the euphoric club sounds that helped define one of the most celebrated eras of her career.

Madonna once again proves her ability to combine music, fashion, film, and culture into a single artistic statement with “CONFESSIONS II – The Film,” demonstrating that her dominance on the dance floor is still as significant as ever.
