Domani brings family and connection to Cafe Du Nord

Doors opened at 7:00 p.m., and for the entire hour until the opener went on set, Cafe Du Nord exclusively played Don Toliver songs. Reuben Vincent opened the night with his smooth flow and authentic lyricism, immediately engaging the crowd. He took a moment to shout out all of the women in the building by saying, “I was raised by a real woman.”

King was the second opener, and he was full of humor and crowd engagement. He started off his set with his song “Pikachu,” which he performed while wearing a Pikachu onesie. Throughout the set, he kept the audience engaged with jokes and brought one of his fans on stage to dance with him. Their performance together got the crowd pumped. He finished off his set by bringing his friend on stage.

When Domani took the stage, the atmosphere immediately felt more personal. Early in his set, he recognized a fan in the crowd whom he had met at the San Francisco airport. When she met Domani at the airport, she told him that she was going to his show. He remembered this interaction and acknowledged her on stage. One of the night’s highlights was when he performed “ATL Never Scared,” with the crowd singing word for word.

Later in the evening, Domani brought his brother King back on stage to perform together. Between the family connection, crowd engagement, and intimate atmosphere, Domani delivered a powerful performance that left the San Francisco crowd wanting more.
