Madison Beer brought “The Locket Tour” to Phoenix, Arizona, on June 20, delivering a show that felt far bigger than a typical theater concert.
As fans filled the venue, the aesthetic of her fanbase quickly became clear. Many leaned into Madison’s soft, feminine style, with bows, baby-blue tones, and ruffled outfits that mirrored the looks she wore on stage throughout the night.
I went into the show without checking the setlist, so the opening caught me off guard in the best way. The curtain dropped as she launched into “yes baby.” Not a single seat was empty, and the crowd singing every word back to her made that even more apparent.
The setlist flowed smoothly between high-production moments with sharp choreography and more stripped-back sections where she sat at the edge of the stage connecting with fans. During one segment, a fan was chosen to pick from a selection of surprise songs and landed on “Sour Times” from Life Support, a deeper cut that longtime fans clearly appreciated.

Madison performed Locket in its entirety while still making time for deep cuts from her earlier projects. My favorite song of the night was “Envy the Leaves.” Although it isn’t her most popular track, the live rendition gave it an entirely new life, making it blend into the set perfectly.
The intention behind every detail really stuck out to me. From the set design to the visuals that played while she changed outfits, everything felt carefully considered.
Madison also reflected on her journey, sharing that she once played a show in Tucson for just twenty-five people. Now, performing for a sold-out crowd of 5,000 in Phoenix, her gratitude felt genuine and added a more personal layer to the performance.
As another way to show her appreciation for her fans, she walked along the barricade during “lovergirl,” stopping to hug them as many were moved to tears, showing the connection her music has created. She closed the night with “bittersweet,” ending on a confetti-filled moment that perfectly matched the meaning behind the song.
