In This Moment return with “Sleeping With the Enemy” and announce Taste of Chaos Tour

In This Moment have returned with a brand new single, “Sleeping With the Enemy,” out now via Better Noise Music. The band has also shared the official video for the track, giving fans the next glimpse into their upcoming, as-yet-untitled ninth studio album.

The new song marks the latest chapter for the Grammy-nominated band, whose mix of theatrical intensity, modern rock hooks, metal weight, and ritualistic visual identity has made them one of heavy music’s most recognizable live acts. In This Moment have never been interested in simply walking onstage and playing songs like normal people with reasonable lighting budgets. They build worlds. Occasionally, very dark ones. Naturally, it works.

Led by Maria Brink, In This Moment has spent nearly two decades turning spectacle and vulnerability into a signature language. “Sleeping With the Enemy” continues that approach, pairing heavy atmosphere with a message centered on confrontation, transformation, and empowerment.

“With ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness – whether it’s inside us or external,” Brink shares. “It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”

The single follows the previously released “Heretic,” featuring Kim Dracula, and both tracks serve as early looks at the band’s upcoming album, their first for Better Noise Music. More details on the record are expected to be announced later.

“Sleeping With the Enemy” leans into the qualities that have defined In This Moment’s strongest work, including scale, drama, tension, and a sense of danger that feels as visual as it does musical. The song is built for the band’s larger-than-life live presentation, where sound, costume, staging, movement, and symbolism tend to collide into something closer to theater than a standard rock show. Subtle? Not even remotely. But subtlety has never sold out a room full of people dressed for catharsis.

In This Moment will bring that world back to the road this fall on the Taste of Chaos Tour, co-headlining with Hollywood Undead. The run will also feature support from I See Stars, Vana, and Melrose Avenue.

The tour kicks off September 22 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and wraps October 26 in Anaheim, California. Colorado fans can catch the tour on October 19 at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver.

The bill brings together several different corners of modern heavy music. In This Moment brings a dark, theatrical rock and metal spectacle. Hollywood Undead brings their long-running blend of rap rock, alternative metal, and arena-ready chaos. I See Stars add electronicore and post-hardcore energy, while Vana and Melrose Avenue round out the lineup with newer heavy voices. In other words, it is not a quiet evening for people who enjoy sitting politely and thinking about municipal zo..
