Yuko Rade’s “Roxy” is a nostalgic pop track. From the visuals to the melodies, this song feels straight out of the ’90s, and I am completely obsessed with it. I’ve been coining the term disco pop revival as of recently, and I think this track falls perfectly into that narrative. It’s glossy and polished, yet at the same time familiar and accessible. The production floats on modern pop-electronic sensibilities, but the synthesizers add an atmospheric depth that truly compels me. The vocals are forward and confident, riding over the instrumentation with just enough edge to remind you this is not pure mainstream pop overproduction. Every element feels intentional!
