Fresh off the launch of a new chapter with his recent single “ALMOST FAMOUS,” rising alt-rock artist bodie is adding to his growing catalog with the release of “GO FOR BROKE,” a stripped-back, emotionally charged track that offers another preview of the music he plans to release throughout 2026.
Built around acoustic instrumentation and bodie’s unmistakable vocal delivery, “GO FOR BROKE” explores themes of surrender and humility. At the song’s emotional centerpiece, he sings, “I’m going for broke/face down on the floor/you can have all the glory/cuz it’s already yours,” delivering the line with the kind of conviction that has become a hallmark of his songwriting.
The release arrives as bodie’s profile continues to rise. Recently highlighted by Forbes for his “punchy, genre-bending sound,” the singer is also preparing to hit the road this fall with CAIN for a series of tour dates.
Since releasing his debut album, NO SKIPS, through Provident Entertainment and Sony in 2025, bodie has steadily built a devoted audience. The record followed a string of fan-favorite releases, including the title track “NO SKIPS,” “GOOD OLD DAYS,” and “SAY SO,” the latter accompanied by a playful music video inspired by the chaotic energy of early-2000s MTV stunt culture. He has also shared stages with artists such as Colton Dixon, Elevation Rhythm, and Seph Schlueter while surpassing 38 million career streams.
One of his biggest breakthroughs came with “whisper and the wind,” a standout track from the “HAPPY TO BE HERE” EP. The song reached the Top 10 on both the Billboard Airplay and Mediabase Audience charts, further establishing bodie as one of the fastest rising names in contemporary Christian and alternative music.
Industry recognition has followed. bodie earned two nominations at the GMA Dove Awards, including Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) for “RIP.” He also received a nomination at the K-LOVE Fan Awards for “whisper and the wind” and was recognized by the We Love Christian Music Awards.
Beyond his work as a performer, bodie has also earned acclaim as a songwriter. Alongside collaborators Sajan Nauriyal and Wes Strunk, he won the Grand Prize at the International Songwriting Competition for “whisper and the wind.” The song stood out among more than 14,000 submissions from 112 countries, impressing a judging panel that included Paul Stanley, Joe Hahn, Elle King, Tom Waits, Kristian Bush, Nancy Wilson, and members of NEEDTOBREATHE.
With “GO FOR BROKE,” bodie continues to showcase the honesty and emotional depth that have fueled his rapid ascent, while setting the stage for what appears to be an ambitious run of new music in 2026.
