Malcolm Todd releases new single “I Just Got Mad”

Singer-songwriter Malcolm Todd has officially released his long-awaited single, “I Just Got Mad,” via Columbia Records. First teased in 2024, the track quickly became a fan favorite as listeners discovered it through snippets shared online.

Before its official release, “I Just Got Mad” had become one of Todd’s most requested unreleased songs, circulating across social media, SoundCloud, and YouTube. Alongside the single, Todd also released a self-directed visualizer, which he filmed and edited entirely himself.

The release follows the success of Do That Again, Todd’s sophomore album, which was released June 5. The record debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, earning Todd his first Top 10 album and highest-charting debut to date.

Do That Again is led by singles “Breathe” and “I Saw Your Face.” Just five weeks after its release, the album has already garnered 236 million global streams. Through each track, Todd blends his classic pop songwriting with modern R&B influences, showcasing his signature sound.

This momentum continues this fall as Todd embarks on his sold-out “Do That Again North American Tour.Making stops at iconic venues nationwide, such as Radio City Music Hall, The Coca-Cola Roxy, MGM Music Hall at Fenway, and The Greek Theatre, the run marks another milestone in Todd’s breakout year. Before heading out on tour this September, Todd will also perform at Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal and Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco.
