Story of the Year and Silverstein turned the Stone Pony Summer Stage into one big wave of non-stop crowd surfing.
Story of the Year brought the energy they’ve always been known for. Getting to see them play songs so many of us grew up with was super nostalgic, and they sounded just as good as ever. The crowd was right there with them all night, singing, jumping, and crowd surfing.
Silverstein closed out the night with an amazing set. Shane Told’s vocals were spot on, the whole band was incredible, and you could tell they were having a blast on stage. Whether you’ve been listening to them since the early 2000s or just found them recently, their live show is something special. “Camp Screamo” was the perfect name for this co-headlong tour! It really felt like a celebration of a genre that still means a lot to so many people.
It was one of those nights that reminded me why I love photographing live music. The energy, the emotion, and hearing thousands of voices singing every word back to the bands made for an unforgettable night at the Stone Pony Summer Stage.
