The J-rock metal band Jiluka‘s 2026 World Tour – DeVils, on their second leg of their first United States tour, came to El Paso, Texas, and performed at the Lowbrow Palace, a venue in the heart of downtown. The four-piece Japanese visual kei band is traveling with the bands Mirrorcell and What Lies Below, both U.S. bands.
Mirrorcell is a metal band from Kansas City formed in 2022 and has had some great success; they released their debut album this winter, Long Night in Lovescape. Every song they performed was from the new album.
They entered the stage and instantly got the crowd moving with hard-driving guitar riffs and a heavy bass drum beat. They opened with “Pleasure,” which was followed by “(U)phoria,” then they performed “Ichi.” After a few more songs, Nate Cell, vocalist, announced they had one more song at the end of their set. Cell picked up a banana on the floor and announced the whole setlist was written on the banana and asked who wanted it; the crowd all raised their hands, and as he tossed it into the crowd, he did say, “Oh, by the way, the banana is three days old.” The crowd didn’t seem to care as people dove for it.

What Lies Below is a Metalcore band out of Pennsylvania; the band is best described as a high-energy metal power band with good lyrics and solid guitar beats. They are now promoting their album, I Let It Consume Me, which can be found on all their social media.
They were strong as they ran on stage to a cheering crowd and made it known that the faster the mosh pit, the faster the songs. They performed many of their songs off their new album. Opening with “Ether,” the second song on the album, then they performed “Pale Shadow,” followed by “Leech.” By the end of their set, they had a huge mosh pit circle going in the middle of the crowd. At the end of the set, the house fell silent; we were all hooked and wanted more.

The band is in the second half of their debut United States tour, which is part of their 2026 World Tour titled “DeVils.” The band is a four-piece metal band that has been around since 2013. Their current lineup has been together since 2015, with Ricko as their vocalist, Sena as the guitarist, Boogie on bass, and Zyean on drums. Pure energy alone makes you want to listen to them perform. They have released eight albums, and this tour they are featuring their latest single release “DeVils.”
They entered the stage one by one and came to the center platform, where they waved to the crowd, all dressed in long black leather trench coats. With Ricko jumping on the platform last, they started singing “DeVils.” The crowd went wild as many were jumping in place and forming a mosh pit in the middle of the crowd. They have such fresh energy with their music, and there seemed to be waves of it radiating from the stage. There is no way to explain it, but seeing them live was a moving experience and one you should not miss. After their first song, “OVERKILL” and “VEN?M” erupted. They performed for an hour and a half nonstop, which included a 20-minute drum solo in the middle that was so powerful and intense. The crowd went crazy, cheering even louder as the rest of the band came back on stage. They have a new fan in me; they really know how to entertain and hold their audience.
