Following the release of her hit new single “junebug!” which had critical acclaim, including Billboard declaring it the perfect song that “captures the carefree chaos that kicks off the summer”, singer-songwriter GAYLE has released one of her most intensely emotional singles yet: “loving you is.”

The single finds GAYLE at her most open and honest self, centering on loving herself and walking away from a toxic relationship. She says it’s “about coming to terms with the fact that I didn’t know how I deserved to be treated…and never letting that happen again.” Lines like “You made me hate myself/ so I could love us” explain how she felt before she realized she could no longer accept that kind of treatment.

With the release of the single comes the announcement of her co-produced and co-written forthcoming new full-length LP, Observing Chaos, due September 18. The LP recounts the journey that followed the decision to focus on her emotional center by working on herself, her emotions, and trying to find herself as an adult. To celebrate the album, GAYLE will embark on a road trip with members of her fan club, the g spot, featuring album listening sessions and exclusive fan experiences.
