Machine Gun Kelly "Lost Americana Tour" Live at Truliant Amphitheater

Lost Americana Tour comes to Charlotte, North Carolina

May 31, 2026, was a life-changing night for the Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) fans of Charlotte, North Carolina!! Arriving at the Truliant Amphitheater, I could already tell that I was in for a treat. Fans had on the coolest outfits: lots of Chucks, red accessories, leather, and chains. The best punk rock attire imaginable! Some fans even made their own jackets to match MGK! This wasn’t any ordinary Machine Gun Kelly concert, though…. This was the “Lost Americana Tour” with Wiz Khalifa and opener De’Wayne!

Five years ago, I got to see De’Wayne perform and instantly became a fan! I couldn’t wait to see him again, especially to hear his new music! When he hit the stage, you could feel his energy in your soul. His self-expression and confidence are truly admirable. His individuality in music makes him an one-of-a-kindd artist. He played his new song with Lenny Kravitz, “highway robbery” which has almost reached half a million streams on Spotify!

Then the anticipation began for Wiz Khalifa! For me, Wiz takes me back to being a teenager and growing throughout high school. I’ve personally been to over four of his concerts and was over the moon when the opportunity arose to take pictures of his set. Hearing “The Thrill” live and seeing Wiz hit Michael Jackson’s signature moonwalk was a moment I will remember for a lifetime! He had the crowd jumping out of their seats, and you could only imagine what the venue smelled like that night.

Then the curtains dropped, and all you could hear was the legend Fred Durst over the most knarley bass in music today. Machine Gun Kelly opened his set on the “Lost Americana Tour” with his new song “FIX UR FACE” (with Fred Durst). His production was absolutely INSANE! Fire, smoke, light effects, sparklers. You name it, MGK was doing it! I was in awe of the show he puts on and beyond blessed to be able to shoot the first 15 songs of his set. I was lucky enough to capture some amazing moments. MGK jumped into the pit and sang with a fan who was holding up a poster saying “My ex lost to MGK,” as well as doing a gender reveal for a fan who had travelled to multiple shows just for the special moment. The passion, the emotion, and the heartfelt rock energy were unmatched. I can now understand completely why fans travel miles and miles to follow Machine Gun Kelly while he’s on tour!
