KATSEYE’s new EP, ‘WILD,’ out today via Hybe x Geffen Records

Today, iconic and multi-talented girl group KATSEYE embarks on a new era of their career with the release of their third EP, “WILD, via HYBE x Geffen Records. Shaped by a defining two-year journey, this project captures the feeling of a wild ride fueled by growth and transformation. The five-song EP, which includes the Billboard Hot 100 hits “PINKY UP” and “Animal,” is the follow-up to the Grammy-nominated global girl group’s 2025 EP “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS,” (HYBE x Geffen Records), which debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200.

To kick off the release of the EP, earlier this morning KATSEYE performed at the Citi Concert Series on NBC’s “TODAY.” Earlier in the week, the group appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” performing their first-ever musical performance on the late-night program whilst also discussing their excitement for the new EP. Watch KATSEYE perform “Animal” HERE.

On August 4, “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS” premiered at The Grove in Los Angeles. The premiere was everything and more. Now, for a limited time, “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS” is underway at 1,700 cinemas across 60 countries around the world. Directed by Nadia Hallgren, the film takes fans deeper into the bold new chapter the group is launching with “WILD.” Featuring never-before-seen footage, EYEKONS fan videos, and intimate moments with the group members, the film uncovers and explores the powerful bond between KATSEYE and their global fandom. Based on overwhelming demand, additional dates and showtimes are being added. For tickets and additional information on “KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS,” visit www.KatseyeWildHeartsFilm.com.

Moving past the beautiful chaos captured on their last EP, “WILD” leans into something more blissful and untamed. No matter what, KATSEYE continues to further embrace every version of themselves, resulting in a project that feels entirely their own. Leadoff track and first single “PINKY UP” broadens the world that KATSEYE has been building – confident, playful, and always pushing boundaries while exploring different genres of sound. The song received its live debut at Coachella. View the official video HERE.

Next comes the follow-up single “Animal,” co-written by Ed Sheeran it presents a bold, flirtatious pop anthem that celebrates embracing one’s wild side. Ed Sheeran recalls, “I heard KATSEYE’s song ‘Gnarly‘ last year when I was in Mexico and loved it. Said I was a fan and reached out to them to see if I could write them a song. We’ve created ‘Animal’ together.” Sheeran also discusses the writing and recording process in this Instagram video. PEOPLE noted, “‘Animal’ explores the contrast between public personas and private, uninhibited energy…KATSEYE is showing fans what it means to run ‘WILD.’” Watch the official video, which features a cameo by Demi Moore, HERE.

Hootie Frutti is KATSEYE’s fiercest statement yet. Sun-drenched and dripping with attitude from the first drum hit. Built on rattling Brazilian phone-inspired percussion and maximalist pop production, the track is sure to get you on your feet. Released today, the official video for “Hootie Frutti” captures a vibrant underground Brazilian part that is on the brink of ending – until KATSEYE shows up bringing it back to life. Alfred Marroquin (Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish) directed with production by Somesuch. Ashley Soloman served as executive producer and Whitney Jackson as producer. View HERE.

Bel Air is an emotionally-charged ballad that captures the bittersweet ache of outgrowing something you once loved. It helps to truly show and connect fans to the immense growth that KATSEYE has gone through as they continue to shine in the spotlight. Closing out the EP, the charismatic That Way is a playful yet commanding song about power dynamics and desire but told entirely on the group’s own terms: an invitation, not a plea.

As revealed by the band in this recent post, CD and vinyl editions featuring members of KATSEYE are available at Target and exclusively include the bonus track Unloveu which is written by grouomember Lara Raj herself and produced by Amy Allen (Harry Styles, Justin Bieber) and Ross Golan (Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez). On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Raj had exclaimed her excitement that she had finally achieved one of her original songs to be included on the EP.

In the leadup to the release of “WILD,” KATSEYE spoke with NPR’s “All Things Considered,” whipped up some of their favorite food for Vogue’s “Now Serving” series, went sneaker shopping with Complex, appeared on the podcast “Therapuss with Jake Shane” and taught students to dance to “Animal” in an episode of “Celebrity Substitute.” The group lead off Billboard’s 2026 “21 Under 21” list and also appeared in Variety’s “Power of Young Hollywood Impact Report.” KATSEYE was VANITY FAIR’s “VANITIES” subject for the July issue, marking the first time the magazine chose a group for the long-standing feature, and appeared on the June covers of Allure in the United States, Korea and the Philippines.
