Knox has officially released a new single and music video for his song “4.3 Forty” ahead of his new album, My Midwest Best. The alternative artist from Ohio, who also shot the music video in his home state, never misses a beat. The new song has a catchy hook, and I can’t wait to see what else is to come from his new record.
“‘4.3 Forty’ is about someone who talks like they’re all in until things get real. The second I told her I loved her, it felt like she ran a 4.3 forty in the opposite direction. It’s definitely one of the funniest concepts on the album, but underneath that it’s really about realizing not everyone is ready for the same kind of commitment,” Knox shared.
My Midwest Best, Knox’s sophomore record, will be released on October 2 on all major streaming platforms. The album draws inspiration from bands like Hawthorne Heights, Fall Out Boy, and other emo/pop-punk bands. Speaking about the album, Knox says, “My Midwest Best is my proudest work to date. It’s the culmination of all the music I grew up listening to and all the music I learned how to make along the way. A representation of where I’m from and what it sounded like growing up in the middle of nowhere, Ohio.”
Knox will also be embarking on a tour around North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. For more information on tickets, visit here.
