On October 9, 2026, Equal Vision Records, Kill Iconic Records, and DIV3R are excited to announce the release of BAD CRY LOUD, the debut full-length album from the Las Vegas-based progressive post-hardcore band. Vocalist/guitarist and producer Jason Weiche says it derived from a type of abject existential malaise he has experienced. BAD CRY LOUD is the sound of acceptance along with an intentional need to combat these fiercely intrusive thoughts. Along with Carlo Marques, a fellow former member of acclaimed post- hardcore band Stolas, Weiche set to write himself out of the negative space he was in.
Fronting the album is “NEUE NEPTUNE,” a song that promotes an introspective look at what it’s like to be too reckless, too young, and too oblivious to the powers in your hands. It begs you to ask yourself if the choices of your past are still so haunting. You can find the music video for “NEUE NEPTUNE” here.
DIV3R coined BAD CRY LOUD to describe something deeper and more catastrophic than an “ugly cry.” It isn’t just a physical reaction to bad news; it’s an unbridled, primal release of human suffering at its absolute breaking point.
While steeped in a desire for nothingness, the record actively rages against the dying of the light. DIV3R balances earthly suffering with otherworldly soundscapes, drawn directly from frontman Weiche’s transformative journeys with plant medicine — an ongoing catalyst for processing his deepest, most morbid struggles. The music mirrors this cosmic friction at every turn. Opening tracks “SOBER” and “WRUNG” pull listeners into an atmospheric tailspin, while “1047 AD” careens forward and “METROID” boils over with frantic nihilism. Yet no matter how far into the void tracks like “NEUE NEPTUNE” or the tender, haunting “LUNA” travel, the emotional gravity is always real — a dark, raw, and honest reckoning with the simple burden of being.
