July 31, 2026 – Remi Wolf makes her return with her newest single, “Twiggy,” the first release from her in two years. She debuted the song last weekend with a surprise performance at Hayley Williams’ Newport Folk Festival set, giving a slight preview of what she has been working on since the release of her previous album, Big Ideas. The single is also followed by a 7” vinyl release, including a secret B-side track “Tiny Little Twigs (Demo).”
Across her two previous albums, Juno and Big Ideas, Wolf has established a world of her own, becoming one of current music’s most adored and capricious creative voices while doing so. Her music is instantly recognizable with its eccentric imagery, colloquial lyricism, resilient melodies, restless production, and a joy that flows beyond her songs themselves. “Twiggy” reminds the listeners why they fell in love with her and her music, while also bringing them closer than they’ve ever been before!
While “Twiggy” is playful and emotionally exposed, the song pairs one of Remi’s most undeniable hooks with the cleverest and most candid songwriting of her career. The song’s wit and precision give way to something very vulnerable: “Where you saw independence / I saw being reckless / You said let’s get breakfast / 40 miles to Texas / backwards in your Lexus / Fighting with your exes / You just miss me / I just miss you / We just missed our exit.”
The outcome is distinctly Remi, but with the camera pulled in close. The color, spirit, and changeability are still there, but it now carries a new emotional literacy that makes “Twiggy” feel immediately familiar and genuinely enlightening.
Remi shares about the new single, I wrote Twiggy about people I’ve been with that lack both butts and emotional availability. And how I like that. Or maybe it’s just about the messiness of addiction? Idk, you decide :)”
Her single “Twiggy” arose after years on the road as Remi started slowing down and began writing from a different place in her life. During a trip in Big Bear, she and a small group of collaborators found the freedom to embrace her, jokingly, “emo as fuck” side and let her spill more of herself into the songs. “I felt this permission to be honest and be my raw self,” she explains. “Because of that, the writing process didn’t change, but the writing changed.”
Over the last several years, Remi has built an incredible following, cementing herself as one of the defining artists in the last decade, all while commanding stages and crowds at festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands, as well as touring with artists like Paramore, Lorde, and Olivia Rodrigo.
Remi also made her acting debut in the television adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling hockey romance series, Off Campus, on Amazon Prime. The series premiered earlier this year in May and includes multiple songs from Remi; she also appears as herself in the opening episode.
With “Twiggy,” Remi Wolf opens the doors for what comes next in her career and allows listeners a reason to get ecstatic all over again. Listen to “Twiggy” above and stay tuned for more soon!
