San Hejmo 2026 took place on August 14 and 15 at Airport Weeze, bringing around 75,000 visitors together for a weekend full of music, creativity, adrenaline and unforgettable moments. With international stars such as Bebe Rexha and Jason Derulo, German artists, DJs, street food, and countless activities, San Hejmo once again proved that it is much more than an ordinary music festival.
From the moment you entered the festival area, there was a special feeling in the air. Even though Saturday started with rain, the mood stayed positive. People danced through the weather, met new people, and simply made the best of the day. That feeling of “nothing can ruin our weekend” was probably one of the best things about San Hejmo.
Music, energy, and unforgettable performances
Of course, the music was one of the biggest highlights. Bebe Rexha delivered an energetic performance on the Mainstage, followed by Jason Derulo, who turned the festival into a huge dance party with his well-known hits and impressive show.
German artists also played an important role. Dani Lia and Esther Graf represented the younger generation of German newcomers, while Eko Fresh brought a completely different energy to the festival. There was something for just about every taste, from pop and hip-hop to electronic music.
One of the biggest party moments came with Alle Farben on the Electronic Stage. The atmosphere became so intense that the stage area eventually reached capacity, and visitors were asked to explore other parts of the festival.
And if you were looking for something more physical than dancing, San Hejmo had that covered too. Moshpits brought plenty of energy, while the 60-metre bungee jump offered a completely different kind of adrenaline. Even some of the stars used the attraction – Marteria, for example.
Meeting artists up close
One of the things that made the festival feel particularly personal was the opportunity to meet artists. A highlight was the Montez meet-and-greet, where fans could take photos, have drinks, and spend a little time with the artist.
It was also exciting to see artists not only performing on stage but also become part of the festival atmosphere themselves. The festival created many moments where the distance between fans and artists felt much smaller.
More than music
San Hejmo’s biggest strength is probably the fact that you do not have to spend the entire day standing in front of a stage.
There was a huge variety of activities and experiences: a Ferris wheel, karaoke, a ball pit that brought back childhood memories, creative DIY workshops, and even the opportunity to make your own flower crowns. The Urban Art District added colourful graffiti, murals, and installations throughout the festival grounds.
For those looking for something a little more permanent, there were also options such as tattooing and getting jewellery engraved, including Pandora pieces.
And then there was the food. San Hejmo offered a large street-food area with international dishes, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as classics such as burgers, fries, and kebabs.
A particularly fun detail was Alle Farben’ own food truck, where he also played on Friday, which added another personal element to the festival experience.
A festival full of little moments
What makes San Hejmo special is not only the huge headline performances but also the smaller, more intimate acts. It is also the small moments in between: laughing with friends, meeting completely new people, singing karaoke with strangers, running through the rain, taking ridiculous photos, or simply sitting down together after hours of dancing.
There were moments that could only be described as “incredible” – an exciting day with your adrenaline pumping, meeting new people, and having an incredible amount of fun.
And despite the weather changing throughout the weekend, the positive atmosphere never disappeared. Rain on Saturday may have turned parts of the festival grounds into mud, but it certainly did not stop people from enjoying themselves.
The verdict
San Hejmo 2026 felt less like a traditional music festival and more like a temporary little world of its own. Music, street art, food, comedy, DIY projects, rides, and spontaneous encounters all came together to create an atmosphere that was difficult to describe until you experienced it yourself.
The biggest strength of San Hejmo is that there is always something else to discover. You can watch an international superstar, jump from 60 metres, eat at a food truck, make a flower crown, sing karaoke, join a mosh pit, or simply sit somewhere with new friends and enjoy the atmosphere.
San Hejmo 2026 was loud, colourful, sometimes chaotic, occasionally rainy – but above all, unforgettable.
