IVY FLINDT, an art-house pop duo from Hamburg, released a new single last week called “I Like The Weather.” This song follows the release of the first single “Welcome To L.A.” off their fourth EP “Sphinx.”

Singer Cate Martin says: “To state the obvious: ‘I Like The Weather’ isn’t about the weather. It’s about hiking a rough trail until the rain strips away the bullshit. It’s about unpredictable love, and the strength you find when you walk away from pointless fights. It weaves a sweet, romantic heart with an uneasy undercurrent.”

Their new EP, produced by Grammy Award-winning Danton Supple, is set to drop November 13. The songs combine beautiful lyrics and catchy melodies. “You can tell they really think about what they’re doing — the whole image and the story connected around Cate’s lyrics,” Supple says. “And it’s about creating a backdrop that supports that story.”

IVY FLINDT first built an international following with their debut album In Every Move, which was made alongside producer Per Sunding and mastered by Björn Engelmann. Rolling Stone praised the album for its craftsmanship, describing the sound as “a pop song cast in silver,” and it launched a live presence that has since taken them to audiences throughout Europe and North America.
