Austin City Limits returns for its 25th year: here’s all you need to know before the festival comes to town

Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) officially makes its return to Texas for its 25th anniversary on October 2 to 4 and October 9 to 11, 2026. Set against the beautiful Austin skyline, this festival is one of the biggest music events in the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans to Zilker Park for two unforgettable weekends. This year’s headliners include Charli XCX, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Twenty One Pilots. Other artists playing include Lorde, The XX, Skrillex (Weekend 1), and Kings of Leon (Weekend 2). The full lineup can be found below.

The ACL lineup features several exclusive single-weekend acts, giving each three days its own unique experience. Festival attendees can expect over 100 artists performing across nine stages, with continuous live music running daily from 12:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Beyond the music, there is much to explore, including local food vendors at the Austin Eats food court, regional artisan markets, and interactive activations throughout the festival grounds.

Separate from the festival, there is ACL Fest Nights, where bands put on their own shows around Austin venues while the festival is happening. Some bands taking part in that are Bleachers, The Chainsmokers, Suki Waterhouse, Finn Wolfhard, and Almost Heaven. Info and tickets can be found here.

While three-day tickets sold out almost immediately, there is currently a waitlist. However, single-day GA, GA+, VIP, and Platinum are still available. Austin City Limits also offers a unique hotel and festival experience, where you can bundle your tickets and stay.

If you are already planning to attend the festival, I highly recommend bringing the following items to survive your weekend and make the most out of your festival experience: sunblock, empty reusable water bottles, binoculars, blankets/sheets/towels, and portable battery packs.
