The iconic frontman of Duran Duran, Simon Le Bon, has been announced as the latest addition to Bowie: Live on the Loch. Taking place in November in Scotland, this two-day festival celebrates David Bowie, marking the tenth anniversary of his death, and raises funds for Save the Children.
On November 7 and 8, Le Bon will join a large group of Bowie collaborators at Cameron House on the banks of Loch Lomond. Members include Bowie’s historic Glastonbury 2000 band, guitarist Earl Slick, pianist Mike Garson, bassist Gail Ann Dorsey, guitarist Mark Plati and drummer Sterling Campbell.
The weekend will include rare Bowie footage, live music, a gala dinner and an exhibition of footage from Bowie sessions featuring Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lodger and Scary Monsters. An auction will feature signed guitars from major rock artists, brought together by Regent Sounds Presents: Earl Slick’s Rock ’n’ Roll Guitar Auction. Tickets for the event are available through the official Bowie: Live on the Loch website.
