Zakk Wylde’s Berzerkus Fest brought a full day of metal music to Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater. As well as incredible metal music, the day included a car show, strongman competition, hot-sauce-eating contest, Ride for Dime, and The Music Experience. Held on August 29, the powerful lineup included Lamb of God, Black Label Society, Down, Suicidal Tendencies, Zakk Sabbath, and Dark Chapel.



Dark Chapel started the day at 4:00 p.m. with guitarist Dario Lorina and was followed by Zakk Wylde’s Zakk Sabbath. The Black Sabbath tribute gave fans the chance to hear the iconic songs that helped shape his career, as well as the rock genre itself. The set included top hits such as “N.I.B.” “War Pigs,” and “Children Of The Grave.”
Suicidal Tendencies took the stage and changed the energy at Jones Beach with hardcore punk music from California. The Louisiana group Down, brought another unique sound with heavier and slower southern metal. During their song “Bury Me in Smoke,” Kenny Hickey, Robin Mazen, and Greyson Nekrutman joined the band onstage.
Zakk Wylde took the stage for the second time with Black Label Society. The focus was shifted from Black Sabbath to more of his original hits, but he did play Ozzy’s “No More Tears.” Lamb of God ended the night with Jones Beach packed with passionate fans. Featuring an incredible stage presence and production. Spanning through their career, their set included a wide selection of songs.
