Babymetal, the ultra-famous J-rock metal band, continues to reshape the metal scene, proving they are more than just a band. Babymetal announced an exclusive pop-up with the global media brand Complex NY at 620 Broadway in New York City on September 8 and 9. Fans can expect limited-edition merchandise and activations never seen before. It will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.
For one weekend only, fans can shop merch from the new BABYMETAL x Affliction collaboration, comic books, tour merch, music, experience interactive vignettes, and more. Their line of exclusive apparel with Affliction Clothing will feature an assortment of tees, thermals, and hoodies.
This past week, the band announced a limited-edition variant cover to celebrate the release of “Marvel Zombies: War Zone” (2026) No. 1 that SOLD OUT within its first 24 hours. The pop-up will have the last 400 copies of that comic book available for purchase on-site.
This whole event is being run in conjunction with their 2026 World Tour, covering North America and Latin America, which includes their first show in Mexico. The Babymetal world tour will be joined by Halestorm and Violent Vira in their Latin America stretch of the tour; they will be joined by I Prevail and Bilmuri in North America. The tour will be celebrating the earlier this year’s release of METAL FORTH (DELUXE EDITION) via Capitol Records. This is an expanded release of their record-breaking album, making its debut last year at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. It marked the band’s first-ever U.S. Top 10 album and the first time in history that an all-Japanese-fronted group has made this list. The project amassed over 200 million global streams and sold 36,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The new edition features three live performances and two remixes of “from me to u (feat. Poppy),” including the new versions by Major Lazer and Jordan Fish.
