Exhorder prepares for their next tour, “The Tour of Unsound Minds: Act II.” The New Orleans thrash band is getting ready for their last tour of 2026, and they hit the road on September 25, 2026, with 20 cities on the tour. Intoxicated, No/Mas, Phantom, and Parabellum will open on select dates; the bands rotate depending on the city they are performing.
Exhorder’s frontman Kyle Thomas describes this tour: “Here we are, folks! It’s the last tour of the year for Exhorder. We are amped to be out with all of the bands on this package! Additionally, we are spicing up the set this time around. Expect to hear some songs you may not have heard us play in some years, and maybe even something this band has never played before! We’re also going to have several merch items that are new or haven’t been available for quite some time. Let’s go!”
I have had the opportunity to capture Exhorder’s show twice in two different venues. It doesn’t matter what location they are performing in; they bring it 110% and have the crowd stirred up. So, I know when they come to your city, they will make you feel like you’re at a New Orleans thrash concert. Thomas‘ interaction with the rest of the band is top-notch, and you can see why they have been together for so long.
If you have never heard of Exhorder, I suggest that if they come to your city and you like a good thrash band, you go to their show on this tour. I know I will be in El Paso when they perform. This band comes from New Orleans and has been together since 1986; they produced an album in 1992, but the band took a 27-year hiatus before coming back together in 2019. The band released Mourn the Southern Skies in October of 2019 through Nuclear Blast Records. Fraught with euphoric peaks and crippling valleys throughout its existence, lineup changes, and the 2020-2021 pandemic, EXHORDER clawed back through the muck to release Defectum Omnium, the Latin phrase for “The Failure of All,” in 2024. “The world is a dumpster fire, and we are all complicit,” noted singer Kyle Thomas when elaborating on the title.
