The American Motorcyclist Association has announced the three riders who will represent the United States at the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, set for October 2-4 at the famed Circuit Raymond Demy in Ernée, France.
Team USA will be represented by Honda HRC Progressive’s Chance Hymas, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen, and three-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Champion Cooper Webb. The trio will head overseas looking to put the United States back on top of one of motocross’ most prestigious international stages.
The announcement came from Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, during the final weekend of the Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. The location carried extra weight after Ironman hosted the 2025 FIM Motocross of Nations, where Team USA finished second as the host nation.
AMA Director of Racing Mike Pelletier will return as team manager for the United States after leading the team to that runner-up finish last year. With Australia winning the last two editions of the MXoN, the 2026 lineup gives the Americans a new chance to challenge for the global crown in France.
“We have put together an outstanding team for this year’s FIM Motocross of Nations as we look to build on last year’s success,” Pelletier said. “Having the opportunity to serve as the manager for Team USA has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to stand beside Cooper, Levi and Chance as we take on the world. I know they are ecstatic to represent their country this October in France.”
Hymas is set to make his FIM Motocross of Nations debut in 2026 and will compete in the MXGP class. The 21-year-old was held out of making his expected debut at the 2024 event due to injury, but he enters this year’s international stage with momentum after capturing three 250SMX Class wins in Pro Motocross, including a recent victory at Budds Creek. He also owns an Eastern Divisional 250SMX Class win in Supercross.
“I’m beyond excited to get the opportunity to race for Team USA in the MXGP class. It means everything to me and has been a dream of mine to carry the Stars and Stripes overseas and represent our country in front of the world,” Hymas said. “We have a strong team heading to France this year, and I’m confident between Cooper, Levi, and myself that we’ll represent America proudly.”
Kitchen will also make his MXoN debut in 2026, lining up in the MX2 class. Over the previous two Supercross seasons, Kitchen has finished runner-up in the Western Divisional 250SMX Class, and he entered the Ironman finale with a chance to claim the Pro Motocross 250SMX Class Championship.
“What an honor it is to be selected to represent our amazing country,” Kitchen said. “I’m so excited for this experience and to do it with a great group of people. Can’t wait to send it for Team USA!”
Webb brings the most international experience of the group and will serve as team captain while competing in the Open class. The three-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross 450SX Champion will make his fourth FIM Motocross of Nations appearance, having previously represented the United States in 2015, 2016, and 2024, with podium finishes in all three attempts.
For Webb, the 2026 event carries added significance as he prepares to close out his final season of Pro Motocross competition.
“I’m so excited and grateful to be on Team USA for MXoN again. It’s an honor and always has been,” Webb said. “We are moving mountains on my end to make this even happen, and I can’t thank everyone involved enough for what they are doing to even have me be able to race this event.”
Webb added that the preparation, resources, time, and money required to make the opportunity happen are significant, but the chance to represent the United States remains worth it.
“I’m personally excited as this will be my last year racing Pro Motocross, and I know this could be my final time for this event, so I’m ready to lay it all out there,” Webb said. “I love the pressure and atmosphere this race brings; there is nothing like it. Best race in the world, and I’m excited to put our best foot forward. It’s an honor to represent my country!”
The FIM Motocross of Nations brings together the world’s top riders in a country-versus-country format, making it one of the most unique and pressure-heavy events in the sport. Riders compete not only for individual results, but for national pride, team strategy, and the overall global motocross crown.
For Team USA, the 2026 lineup blends youth, momentum, and experience. Hymas and Kitchen will make their first MXoN appearances after standout seasons in the 250SMX ranks, while Webb brings leadership, racecraft, and a proven record on the international stage.
With Australia entering as the team to beat after back-to-back MXoN wins, the United States will travel to France with a clear target. The pieces are now set. Hymas, Kitchen, Webb, and Pelletier will take on the world October 2-4 in Ernée.
