Power to the People Festival, thone-dayay event curated by Tom Morello, has added another wave of artists to its 2026 lineup.
Nathaniel Rateliff, Stephen Stills, Mike McCready, Geezer Butler, State Radio, Scott Ian, and The Last Internationale have joined the bill for the festival, which takes place Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
The festival is built as a one-day celebration of peace, justice, solidarity, music, and community action, bringing together artists, fans, activists, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders for a day centered on live performance and civic engagement.
The newly announced artists join a lineup that already includes Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Public Enemy, Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, Jack Black, Serj Tankian, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, The Linda Lindas, and a special performance by Bruce Springsteen.
The festival will also feature grandson, The Neighborhood Kids, Taylor Momsen, Matt Cameron, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Tom Morello, and a DJ set by Shepard Fairey, who also created the festival poster artwork. Jack Black’s performance will feature Roman Morello, Revel Ian, Yoyoka Soma, and Hugo Weiss.
Alongside the lineup expansion, Power to the People Festival has announced the Power to the People Face Value Ticket Exchange in partnership with CashorTrade. The exchange is designed as an official place for fans who can no longer attend to sell tickets at face value, while giving fans who missed out on tickets another way to purchase them without inflated resale pricing.
The event will feature performances across two stages, along with Freedom Village, an immersive space highlighting opportunities for civic engagement, grassroots organizing, education, mutual aid, and social impact initiatives.
A portion of proceeds from all ticket sales, along with 100% of net proceeds from VIP tickets, will be donated to VoteRiders and HeadCount. HeadCount will also be on site to help fans register to vote and learn more about how to participate in upcoming elections.
Participating organizations include Trans Maryland, The Woody Guthrie Center, the ACLU, Rock The Vote, Amica Center For Immigrant Rights, American Foundation For Suicide Prevention, DC Abortion Fund, Farm Aid, Indivisible, National Domestic Workers Alliance / Care In Action, Noise for Now, Nourish Now, Oxfam, Project On Government Oversight, Sasha Bruce Youthwork, The Coalition To Protect America’s National Parks, The Mary Morello Memorial Project, The Sentencing Project, Third Act, VoteRiders, We Are CASA, Ben & Jerry’s, Charitybuzz, and Red Emma’s.
Morello’s role as curator gives the event a clear identity. Across his work with Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, solo projects, collaborations, rallies, and public activism, Morello has consistently tied music to labor, protest, and community action. Power to the People Festival continues that thread on a large-scale stage.
With Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Public Enemy, Joan Baez, Tom Morello, Serj Tankian, Killer Mike, The Linda Lindas, Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, and the newly added artists appearing on the same day, Power to the People is shaping up as one of the more distinctive music events of 2026.
